Why Design, Finishing and Furniture Belong Together
A home is often designed in one place, finished by another contractor, and furnished from a third. The rooms can still be handsome. They rarely feel as if they were thought through as one interior.
MAKANELL holds three services because they meet in the same rooms: interior design, turnkey finishing and bespoke furniture. Design sets the language. Finishing carries it onto surfaces and details. Furniture occupies the rooms at the right scale.
Not every client needs all three. The point is that they can belong to one studio, so that timber, fabric and plaster are not arguing with each other at the end.
The photographs on this site show both unfinished interiors and completed rooms, and furniture made as individual pieces. They are evidence of that joined way of working, not a promise of identical outcomes.
